Last updated 11 August 202614 sections

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the TEVVO Academy website, enquire about a programme, or enrol with us — and what we do with it. Please read it alongside our Terms of Use.

01Introduction

TEVVO Academy (“TEVVO”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy applies to this website and to the enquiry, enrolment, learning and support services we provide through it.

By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the site or submit your information to us.

02Who We Are

For the purposes of applicable data protection law, the data fiduciary (controller) responsible for your personal information is TEVVO Academy, operating as TEVVO Academy, with its registered office at Second Floor, WorkEz, Sm Towers, Seevaram 1st cross St, Seevaram, Perungudi, Chennai, Greater Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600096.

You can reach us at any time at info@tevvoacademy.com.

03Information We Collect

We collect only what we need in order to respond to you and deliver our programmes.

Information you give us

  • Enquiry and contact details — your name, email address, phone number, the programme or category you are interested in, and anything you write in a message or WhatsApp conversation with us.
  • Enrolment details — information needed to register you on a programme, such as your educational background, employment status and preferred batch timing.
  • Corporate and institutional enquiries — your organisation name, role, team size and training requirements.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data — pages viewed, time spent, referring page and general interaction with the site.
  • Device and connection data — browser type, operating system, device type, approximate location derived from IP address, and the IP address itself.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data — such as information about your health, religion, caste, sexual orientation or biometric identifiers — and we ask that you do not send it to us.

04How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and advise you on suitable programmes;
  • register you for a course, deliver classes, and give you access to learning materials and recordings;
  • issue certificates and verify credentials on request;
  • provide learner support, including placement and career support where it forms part of your programme;
  • process payments, issue invoices and maintain financial records;
  • send you service messages about your batch, schedule changes or account;
  • send you information about other TEVVO programmes, where you have chosen to receive it;
  • improve our website, curriculum and learner experience; and
  • meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

We rely on your consent for marketing communications, on the performance of our contract with you for delivering a programme you have enrolled in, and on our legitimate interests or legal obligations for the remainder. You can withdraw consent for marketing at any time — see Your Rights and Choices.

05Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working correctly and to understand how it is used.

  • Essential cookies keep the site functioning and cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are useful and where visitors run into difficulty. We use Google Analytics.
  • Marketing cookies may be used to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns, where you have consented. We do not currently use any advertising or remarketing platforms.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

06How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf — hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, communication tools and customer support — and only to the extent needed to perform that service.
  • Trainers and mentors delivering your programme, where they need your details to teach and assess you.
  • Hiring and placement partners, where placement support forms part of your programme and you have asked us to share your profile.
  • Academic or corporate partners, where you have enrolled through your institution or employer and they require enrolment and completion records.
  • Legal and regulatory recipients, where we are required to disclose information by law or to protect our rights.
  • A successor entity, if our business or part of it is transferred, merged or acquired.

07Third-Party Services

Some parts of this site rely on third parties who process data under their own privacy policies. These currently include our chat provider (WhatsApp, operated by Meta), our video hosting provider and our analytics provider.

When you start a WhatsApp conversation with us, that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.

08Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it:

  • Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment — retained for [retention period, e.g. 24 months], then deleted.
  • Learner records — retained for the duration of your programme and afterwards so we can verify your certificate.
  • Financial records — retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

09How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and limiting internal access to those who need it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

10Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to erase information we no longer need;
  • withdraw consent you have given, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it;
  • unsubscribe from marketing at any time, using the link in our emails or by writing to us; and
  • complain to the relevant data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@tevvoacademy.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.

11Children’s Privacy

Our programmes are intended for learners aged 18 and over. Where a learner is under 18, we require verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian before enrolment, and we collect only what is necessary to deliver the programme.

If you believe a child has given us personal information without the required consent, contact us at info@tevvoacademy.com and we will delete it.

12International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers operate outside India. Where your information is transferred abroad, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard comparable with this policy and with applicable law.

13Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will give you notice by email or through a prominent notice on the site.
